TLM Project Manager Position

TransPacific Communications is looking for an experienced translation and localization project manager who is a creative problem solver and can prioritize the many tasks at hand. Someone who thrives in a fast-paced working environment with extremely high attention to detail.

TransPacific Communications works closely with federal agencies and needs someone who is familiar with this sector. We work passionately in cross-cultural communications and would welcome someone who shares that passion. This individual must be highly motivated and can manage up, build trust, and learn to anticipate needs.

Key Responsibilities:
Acting as the point of contact among clients, contractors, and other external partners
Managing information and document delivery in a timely and accurate manner
Managing executive’s calendars and setting up meetings
Gatekeeping and quality control of projects including translation, interpretation, translators, interpreters, etc.
Preparing project reports
Coordinating and managing Zoom webinars with simultaneous interpretation rooms
Supporting internal and external communication – emails, proposals, presentations, reports, etc.
Managing workflows, timeline and deliverables of various projects internally and externally
Organizing and maintaining a digital filing system

Work Environment:
A professional home office with privacy, video capability, stable and fast internet connection
A reliable computer and printer
Local commute to the main office a few times a week
A valid Maryland driver’s license and the ability to travel

Requirements:
Proven experience as a project manager or other relevant experience
Minimum 3 years of experience with translation and localization industry standards
Excellent Google Workspace and MS Office productivity tools
Outstanding organizational and time management skills
Professional level verbal and written communications skills
Discretion and confidentiality
Ability to organize a daily workload by priorities
Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced dynamic environment
A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills
Proficient with Zoom, Canva, Google Workspace, Dropbox, Smartsheet, Microsoft Office, etc.
Bilingual in either Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Japanese, Tagalog, or Hindi

Project management
Email/Calendar management
Social media management and graphic design
